Accommodation available

The Farmhouse

We offer an original stone built Perigordian farmhouse with a steep roof in its own garden and with a (usually) private (the annex shares the pool) pool (8 m x 4 m x 1.4 m deep with semicircular steps at one end). 

There are two double rooms, a bathroom and separate toilet downstairs. Upstairs there are two twin rooms and a shower/toilet.  Bathroom and separate toilet downstairs.

There is a big living room with open fireplace. A hallway with the original bread oven leads through to the well equipped modern kitchen. We think original part of the the Farmhouse is about 300 years old; the kitchen and utility room have been added more recently. Linen, towels, gas and electricity are supplied.

The Annexe

The annex joins the Farmhouse and can sleep 2. It is adapted for disabled use with handles, ramps and close parking.

There is the option of an extra 'put you up' for a friend / child.

The Barn

The Barn can sleep 4 - 7 people

The Barn is stone built and the original building is probably about 300 years old. It consists of a main sitting/ dining room with a large double bedroom on the same level. This bedroom has an ensuite bathroom (bath, shower, toilet, bidet, washbasin).

Upstairs there is a twin room with its own en-suite shower room/toilet and a further single bedroom (joins shower/toilet room). 

The kitchen is to one side of the  main room and is separated from it by the original cow-byre/ feeding stalls made into a bar.

Linen, towels, gas electricity and heating (winter use) are supplied.

There is a washing machine in an adjacent barn for you to use.

Outside there is a small south-facing patio with outside table and chairs shaded by a plum tree. The patio is surrounded by a fence and you can park right by the fence.

In the surrounding garden there is a BBQ and a pool (10 by 5 metres with wide steps -see picture ). The pool has a cover which can be slid back, the cover is partly for the safety of small children but also acts as a greenhouse and heats the water (32 C last summer).

Golf information

A large number of golf courses within 30mins to an hours drive.

Recommended ones in the area are Golf Club de Perigueux 18 holes,  Chateau de Vigiers 18 holes, Saint Cyprian 27 holes, Golf Lolivarie 18 holes, Villenueve-sur-lot 18 holes, St Severin 9 holes, Golf de la Forge 9 holes, golf de Barthe 9 holes, Manoir de Longeveau 9 holes.

Peak season (July/August)

The Farmhouse - £1220 (1400 euros) per week.
The Barn - £780 (900 euros) per week.
The Annexe - £300 (350 euros) per week.

Mid season (other school holidays, June and September)

The Farmhouse - £890 (1010 euros) per week.
The Barn - £600 (680 euros) per week.
The Annexe - £200 (230 euros) per week.

Low season (other times)

The Farmhouse - £680 (780 euros) per week.
The Barn - £500 (580 euros) per week.
The Annexe - £150 (170 euros) per week.

Out of high season gite etape £25 (28 euros) per person per night

Accommodation, on reservation, is made definite with one third deposit.  The final payment is made 4 weeks before you arrive.
