Other Spanish Golf Resorts and Holiday Spots
Spain has some amazing golf courses, resorts and holiday spots to consider.
Spain’s weather is generally very good of course, which is partially what attracts golfers from around the world. People from Northern Europe, UK and Ireland also enjoy visiting Spainish golf courses with a flight time of around 2 hours.
Some of the most popular golf courses include Valderrama, Flamingos, Marbella, Finca Cortesin, La Reserva, San Rogue, Sotogrande and the fantastic Jack Nicklaus designed golf courses on the Polaris World resorts.
Spain has some beautiful mountain ranges to view, and wonderful beaches with clear, blue sea and palm trees to enjoy.
If you choose an area such as the Costa Del Sol in southern Spain you can also take a trip across to the African Continent, Morocco or the Rock of Gibraltar or even to the Alhambra located in Granada.
The culinary capital is considered to be Benahavis, which is a small mountainous village near to a golf course. In Puerto Banus, there is plenty of nightlife for those who enjoy partying after playing golf. Puerto Banus is just a few minutes from the ocean.
Another great golf resort is Parador Malaga in Malaga. The resort offers excellent facilities for golfers, as well as a 27-hole golf course. The hotel is in the center of the Costa del Sol. It is just a few minutes away from Torremolinos and Malaga itself.
Golf at the Costa de la Luz offers you the El Rompido Golf and Beach Resort. The golf course rests on El Rompido, a tranquil and uncrowded spot. You have a scenic fishing village along the west coast of the Huelva, which faces the opening of the Rio Piedras river. It also circles the National Reserve Park. About one hour from the resort is the fantastic city of Seville.
Or take a golf holiday in the Madrid area at Barceló Aranjuez. After a game of golf, you can enjoy relaxing time fishing if that is what you are into. The 18-hole golf course will exhaust you, so be sure to bring along those fishing poles.
H10 Andalucía Plaza in Marbella is another great place to visit on your golf holiday. The backdrop of this golf resort is a beautiful mountain range. The plaza is adjacent to Puerto Banus and Marbella Casino on the beach. At the hotel are the Golf Valley courses. It is the perfect arrangement for golfers who want to play golf, shop and have fun too.
With some golf packages at the Andalucía Plaza, you receive a golf cart, and the opportunity to enjoy loads of fun while you play golf. You can visit the casino after to try your luck at poker or perhaps blackjack.
Other golf resorts to consider include Melia Vichy Catalan, Islantilla Golf Resort and Golf in the Almeria region.
All in all Spain has some of the best golfing resorts in the world - and of course wonderful weather!
